Educación Química is a Journal published by the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (Mexican National Autonomous University). Its purpose is to communicate didactic contributions and researches related to the education of chemistry in general, in order to contribute to the teachers’ upgrading and to spread the innovations in this field between researchers, teachers and students.

It is a quarterly Journal and accepts the publication of articles in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese, the main languages of our region. It is part of the Mexican Index of Scientific and Technological Journals of CONACYT and it has a national and an international editorial boards; the first one with members from 15 education institutions, industries and professional associations, and the later with members from 11 Ibero-American countries.

The journal has completed 25 years old in July 2014 and has been indexed by the Chemical Abstract Services since 1993, as well as by Latindex, Iresie and by Scopus since April 2010
