TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED covers almost all topics — from science to to global issues — in more than 100 languages. It also organizes events like TEDx known in order to share ideas on communities worldwide. It is strongly recommended to consult the repository of talks, searchable by author and subject. Currently this repository includes, among others, over 400 lectures on science and more than 500 on technology.
