Space Place is a website designed especially for children and is maintained by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory), the California Institute of Technology and ITEEA (International Technology and Engineering Education Association).

Through the page content the visitors can access to activities about various topics related to the universe, like the solar system, black holes, space volcanoes, operating telescopes, radars and other instruments used in astronomy.

Material are organized in three sections called: “Do”, “Play” and “Explore”. Through materials each visitor can read, print, play and interact with resources such as videos, 3D images, crossword, puzzles, memory games, etc. Website updates through social networks like Facebook and Twitter are available. Also free application for mobile devices with IOS and Android operating systems is provided.

This site has received several awards including “American Library Association’s Great Web Sites for Kids” and “Parents’ Choice Award -Recommended”.
